LETTER FROM Jan-Niklas

Jan-Niklas

Dear Future Host Family,

I am looking forward to meeting you all in person, but for now I would like to give you a short introduction about me.

My family consists of my Mom, my Dad, my younger brother, my younger sister, my dog and me. I love spending time together with them. We do all kinds of fun activities together, from hiking in the mountains to playing board games.

I would consider myself to be a friendly and reliable individual. My friends would probably describe me as humorous and understanding. Like every human being, I have strengths and weaknesses. I am a very fast learner and I can handle pressure and keep my calm in challenging situations. However sometimes I am a little too perfectionistic and too detail-oriented.

I am very passionate about weightlifting in the gym but I also like doing outdoor activities with my friends and my family. A rather new hobby is my recent found interest in chess. I like playing it online or against my friends. Another hobby of mine is playing soccer because I played in a club for a long time.

My favorite food is pizza and my favorite holiday was spending a week in Italy, more specifically in Tuscany. My favorite family tradition is doing our “New Year´s Eve – Hike” on one of the days around New Year´s Eve.

I hope to get a close view of the American culture and the everyday life. Also I look forward to meeting new people and making new experiences.

I am hoping to find a host family, whose life I can complement well and with whom I can create a pleasant experience for the both of us. I would also like to learn about their traditions and share some of my German culture with them.

Thank you for considering me as a part of your family.

Warm regards,

Jan-Niklas
