LETTER FROM Jeongjun

Jeongjun

my name is Jeong Jun!

I’m really grateful that you’ve welcomed me into your family. I’m so excited about getting to know you and creating happy memories together.

At home, I live with my mom, and, two older sisters. Ruri, my eldest sister, participated in this exchange student program two years ago, and my other sister, Nara, is currently in Michigan through this program as well. Hearing about their experiences in America inspired me to give it a try too. I’m hoping we can make lasting memories together.

I love playing badminton, and it’s become a fun family activity. I secretly think I’m the best at it in my family, but I keep that to myself to avoid arguments with my sisters. My family is friendly and a lot of fun to be around. I might seem unfriendly at first, but I’m approachable and friendly person once I get to know each other.

When I’m with my friends, we usually go to the PC room to play computer games, and sometimes we play soccer, although it’s getting too cold in Korea for outdoor games.

I have a very curious personality about everything. I recently thought about why the students, including me, need to study and concluded that we need to study to contribute to the future society. I’m curious about a lot of other things as well, so I hope we have time to talk about a lot of different things.

I’m looking forward to trying many new sports and meeting new people in America. While I’m happy about going to America, I’m a bit worried that I might struggle at first and feel homesick. However, I believe that once I settle down, I’ll adjust quickly. My English skill might not be good as American students, but I’m a hard worker, so I’m confident I’ll improve fast.
I can’t wait to meet you in person and thank you for reading my letter!

Sincerely,
Jeong Jun
