Hello!

I’m Jose, the possible new member of your family, and, first of all, I would like to thank you for considering the idea of taking me in.

First, I would like to introduce you to my family: My parents are the owners of a small business, which they work really hard on. My mother is a 54 year old, caring woman, who does her best to make us all smile. She has always been really keen on arts, since she used to paint when she was younger, and sometimes still makes some drawings, or helps me in such matters for school projects. She is also very smart, likes reading, and recommends me books every once in a while. My father, like my mother, is 54 years old, and a hard working man, who is passionate about motorbikes and used to play darts with a regional team. His skills in darts are amazing. He went to countless competitions over the years, and won lots and lots of trophies, many of which are showcased in the business’s reception. I also have a sister, who is currently studying Chemistry at University. She is 24 years old, and we get along pretty well, since we are very similar.

My hobbies definitely are rowing and playing the piano, because they are the ones I enjoy the most, and have been doing for longer. I have been rowing since I was 12, and have been doing it ever since, 3 days a week. It’s a great sport, since it helps me have a fit body, and be thoughtful about my physical state. On the other hand, piano is a more relaxing experience. Instead, I would say that you push your mind, because you have to concentrate a lot, and have to read the music sheets. Like most teens, I like to play videogames, meet my friends and watch series in my free time. I’m also really interested in science, most specifically, physics, and I would like to do or study something related in the future.

With this experience I hope to meet new people, and learn lots and lots of things about the American culture, and lifestyle. I’m really curious, because everyone’s first approach to foreign cultures, is through social media, and I would love to experience that for myself, instead of doing so through a screen. I hope we can create a strong bond throughout the school year, and create some ever lasting memories with you.
