| Dear Host Parents, allow me to introduce myself. I am Julian, a 15-year-old Berlin native. My upbringing in this vibrant city was thanks to my parents, Jian and Bernhard. My mother, originally from mainland China, relocated to Germany for her studies where she met my father. Together, they settled in Berlin and welcomed me and my 2.5 years sister, Ella, into our loving home on the outskirts of the city. Our weekends are filled with simple joys like leisurely strolls, occasional shopping, or delightful dinners at local restaurants. Personally, I consider myself introverted, preferring quiet moments until I feel comfortable enough to engage in meaningful conversations. Trust is paramount to me, as it fosters an environment where I can openly communicate without reservations. I strive to treat others with the kindness and respect I seek in return,maintaining a positive outlook even when faced with challenges. My interests span various realms, including sports, music, art, and technology. I find solace in sports like basketball and skiing, relishing both the camaraderie of team sports and the tranquility of solitary pursuits. Music holds a special place in my heart, offering a spectrum of emotions with each melody. From rap to rock, RnB to pop, I appreciate the diverse expressions music offers. Art, whether found in nature beauty or human creations like architecture, captivates me with its aesthetic allure. Similarly, technology, from aviation to computing, fascinates me with its innovation and endless possibilities. Since I was a little kid technology has always been interesting like aviation, cars, computers and more has been fascinating me and still does. But something that I haven’t mentioned so far is culture. All things that I have just talked about are also in some way culture. I share the most interest in culture. Especially cultures in other countries, their traditions and food. With that I also like to travel around the world, because in that way I can visit these cultures. For now, Asia is the most interesting, I just like how unique their culture is and the history, especially their food, I’m not that picky when it comes to food because I’m open to try new food but for now every kind of Asian food tastes good. I haven’t visited enough so far that’s why I can’t tell what I like the most as I already told you I am open to something new.
