| Dear host family, I hope you are having a good day. My name is Lan Anh, and my nickname is Anne. I am 16 years old and now I am studying at high school in Vietnam. To describe me, I think I am friendly, energetic, hospitable and funny. In my spare time, I usually enjoy listening to music, especially US – UK, reading books, watching some documentaries or doing outdoor activities. As regard my family, there are totally 4 people in my home including my father, my mother, my older brother and me. My dad is now 51, and he works as a business man. My mom is younger than my dad 4 years old – 47 years old, and she is a homemaker. My older brother is 19 years old, and now he is studying at University of Economics and Law. As for my experience, I had an opportunity to volunteer with my friend whose name is Huyen last summer. We taught English to poor children every Monday and Tuesday. Sometimes, a few organization would come and give them gifts, and I would help them organize it. I had such a beautiful time doing something useful for society and the community. Besides, I also attended to my school’s activities such as cleaning the school, organizing school’s events, etc. I have always dreamed of a chance to live and study abroad, especially the USA. The reason for this is that I am looking forward to gaining knowledge, learning new things including traditions, customs, lifestyles, etc. Moreover, I want to experience when I am in a new environment, cultures, and weather. Although living in the new environment may challenge me, I strongly believe that I will get over it with your help.
