| Dear host family, my name is Lina and I live in a flat in the south of Germany. Together with my mom and step-dad and our two dogs which are named Lotta and Fiena. There are living plenty of fishes in an aquarium and five budgies with us as well. My two step-siblings are older than me. They dont live with us, but I see them regulary. I really love my family, especially my mom. because my parents are both working a lot I don`t see them that often at home, but I love spending time with them. We often watch TV together, play board games or talk. My family loves to travel and visit things, so we go on little trips quite often. Such as going to concerts, magic shows, going for a walk with our dogs at a new place or go out for dinner. In summer we go on vaccation for about four weeks. As I already told you, I love my family and pets and love to spend time with them. I do need time for myself, but need other people around me too. I am a really empathetic person and doing something for others is important for me. So if someone has a problem I intend to help them, for example I am good at listening and comforting someone. As the opposite I am not so good at telling someone about my feelings or letting someone comfort me. I sometimes don`t know what I need to do, but if you tell me what is my task and how to do it, I learn fast and do it probably. I am kind of a perfectionist about myself, but don`t force others to be like that. I am really interested in life and psychologie of people. I like to learn new things, but it`s hard for me sometimes, if I`m not interested in the topic. I am curious and excited about new things to see and learn, but don`t rush into it. I am still a careful person and often think twice before I do something. Besides from school i like to spend my time with friends, pets and dancing.On my own I listen a lot to music and spend time drawing, painting, watching TV, read or do something on my phone as well. From time to time I like to cook or bake something to try new recipes etc. With my friends I often go out in the nature, walk around our city and do activities. That are for example going shopping, eating out, cooking, do a sleep over and watch movies or just talk and gossip. In summer we often go swimming, make a bonfire or have a barbeue with a little party organised. I love summer really much and want to spend a lot time of it outside and doing something, while I am a little less productive in winter. To choose favorite things, especially food, is a difficult decision for me but noodles, pizza, sushi, bowls and vegetables are deffinately part of it. So the christmas dinner is for example one of my favorite celebrations, we eat mostly tradditional German dishes. Christmas and my birthday are my favorite holidays and in school the big summer break of course. At christmas there are many traditions but these do not include church in my family. We are not really religious, but I don`t have anything against it and find it actually really interesting. I understand and respect that religion is important for many people and I am fine to go to church. I just don`t dreally do it at home. Besides christmas we have only one family tradition: In march/June I have two weeks no school and then me, my parents, my siblings, our pets and some friends all go together on vacation somewhere for about two weeks.
