Hello! My name is Marina, I’m 14 years old, and I’m an exchange student from Spain. First of all, thank you for opening the doors of your home and allowing me to stay for a year as part of your family. I’m very excited about this experience because I know it will be one of the best years of my life, and I will learn so much. I also look forward to building a good relationship with you and becoming a member of your family. I will be forever grateful for giving me the opportunity to live one of my dreams.

I consider myself a funny person who loves making jokes and making people laugh. I’m enthusiastic and positive, always trying to see the good in every situation. I’m also very open-minded and love trying new things. I think I’m a mature person who knows how to deal with problems calmly. My family loves to travel, and since I was little, I’ve enjoyed visiting new places and learning about other cultures. In my free time, I love riding horses, going to the gym, hanging out with my friends, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy cooking, especially Spanish dishes, and I would be happy to cook for you.

My family includes my mom, who is a business teacher. She studied economics and worked in various companies before becoming a teacher. She is hardworking, independent, and friendly. My dad is a policeman. He loves making people laugh, so he’s very joking and funny. I have a very good relationship with my parents, they always help me with whatever I need and they have educated me and taught me to always try to give my best version in everything, work hard and be a good person. I also have a younger sister named Irene, who is 4 years old. She is very important to me, and I love spending time with her.

I have tried various sports like rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, and dance, but now I love horseback riding. I connect very well with horses, whenever I can I help put on or take off the frames and wash horses. Galloping is one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced. In the summer, I enjoy windsurfing and sailing. In winter, I’ve been skiing since I was 3 years old. I’m independent, responsible, and enjoy helping with house chores such as making my bed, vacuuming, setting the table, and washing the dishes.

During my stay, I’ll happily help with any tasks around the house. I’m excited to make new friends at school and share Spanish culture with them. I’m not very dependent on my phone, as I prefer doing other activities and having a great time. I look forward to connecting with you, learning about American culture, and having an amazing year together.
