LETTER FROM Marta

Marta

Dear host family,

my name is Marta and i’m 16. I live in the center of Italy with my parents: my mom Maria, my dad Gino and my sister Sara. My sister is three years older than me, I spend a lot of time with her, we share the same interest and passion; I love hang out with Sara, we often go out in the city center, we go to the mall or we also like to stay at home and watch a movie. I get along well with my parents and we all have a great relationship in the house. We help each other and work together. We don’t hang out often all together but our favorite thing is to have dinner together after a day of school or work. I like spend my free time with them.

I consider myself a very empathic and cheerful person, I like to share my interests with people and help them. I’m a very tidy person, I like to check and fix my things even if sometimes I am too hard with myself. That’s why I think I should let go.

I have different hobby, I like travel and explore new cultures, take walks in my city, hang out with my friends and go to the movies or museums with them. But my favorite thing that i love to do is cook and try new foods. I love many foods like pizza, pasta, lasagna, tiramisu and many more. I think that Christmas and Easter are my favourite festivity because in Italy we eat a lot of delicious things and i think that there is nothing more beautiful than eating easter eggs and opening the presents.

I think becoming an exchange student is a very important opportunity that i didn’t expect to achieve. But i’m so very proud and grateful of myself to be able to make this experience. I hope during my exchange year to improve my english, do new activities and meet new people.
