LETTER FROM Noa

Noa

Dear Host family,

My name is Noa, and I am 16 years old.

First, thank you so much for considering hosting me. I’m very grateful for this opportunity.

I like watching anime, drawing pictures, and singing. I often go to karaoke, and if you like singing too, I’d love to sing together. My favorite Japanese cartoons are My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, NARUTO, and so on. I have a cheerful and competitive personality, and I always try new things that interest me. I don’t like to give up halfway through a challenge, so I always do my best. I also have a vivid imagination and enjoy creating my own simple stories. My favorite foods are fruits especially, strawberries, oranges, grapes, kiwi, and apples.

At my high school, I was a member of the boat club. It was very challenging, but also fun and rewarding. The daily practices, the joys, and even the frustrations have all become great memories for me. I am really happy that I joined the boat club. I get along with friends very well, and I have a great time every day. My favorite subjects are English, History, and Art. In the Art class, I’m making a miniature food out of clay which is a lot of fun!

On holidays, I often visit my grandparents’ house and play with their dog. I love animals very much. I also spend with my family and go shopping, which I really enjoy. In Japan, I live with my parents and my sister. My sister studied abroad before, and when she came back, she seemed much brighter and more confident. I was also surprised at how much her English had improved. Seeing her experience made me want to study abroad too, so I could grow and improve just like she did.

Through this study abroad program, I want to gain a broad perspective and experience new things. In the future, I would like to work in an international field, so I want to learn more about American culture and daily life. I hope to make the most of my experience by meeting many people and having new experiences that I would not normally have in Japan.

I’m looking forward to spending a wonderful time with you and creating wonderful memories together.

Thank you again for this opportunity.
