Dear host family,

I’m Paula, and I’m 14 years old. I live in Barcelona, Spain, and live with my family, my dad, my mom, and my sister. I really like spending time with them, playing some board games, traveling together, and eating that special pizza every Friday.

I consider myself a very nice person who likes to try new things and have more experiences. Also, I think that I’m a very sensitive person who cares a lot about others. As well, I’m very extroverted, and I like making new friends and learning things about them. Moreover, I’m a happy person, and I enjoy trying new things.

In my free time, I like spending time playing tennis, doing some sport, like diving, or going to the beach. I also like doing DIY projects like sewing or making new things like pottery. My favorite sport is tennis. I’m on a competition team, and I have been practicing since I was 5 years old. I practice with my best friends, and we really have great times.

During the summer holidays, I normally take sailing classes for two weeks, then I play tennis, and finally I travel somewhere with my family. Normally we go to the closest coast, near Barcelona, and it’s very beautiful. As well, during the winter holidays, we set up the Christmas tree and do some Catalan and Spanish traditions.

I will try to make my experiences there nice and funny, and more than anything, I will adapt myself to your lifestyle, and we are going to learn a lot about each other! There, I want to learn a lot of things, and I want to remember this experience all my life. I’m very nervous about this special trip I’m going to make, but I’m sure that I will have a great time with you.

I’m open to new religions, states, types of weather, and things like that. But I want to say that I love pets of any type. Also, I LOVE eating, especially new things that I have never tried out. My favorite TV series is Gilmore Girls or Gossip Girls, and my favorite film is Moana.

I’m a very nice person, and I love spending time with others. That makes me special!

I’m very thankful to you and to your family, which is going to treat me like a daughter. You will be very proud of me.
