Hi, my name is Quang. I write this letter to say thank you for accepting me to stay with you and your family during my next academic year in the USA. In this letter, I will tell you about my family, my personalities, my expectation and a bit of myself in Vietnam.
I was born and raised in a family of 4 members, including my dad, my mom, my younger brother and me. We live together in a warm cozy house. My parents are both caring and loving. They take proper care of us and love us ultimately. Our family spends a lot of time together. We have dinner together every night, except for weekends when my parents often take us to eat out in a restaurant. On holiday or special occasions, our parents often take us to go picnic or travel somewhere. They said that traveling helps us know more and more experience. Our family is a wonderful and peaceful place. I am proud to be a part of it.
About myself, I have just finished grade 9. My favorite subjects are English and IT. In class, I have a lot of friends, boys and girls. They are all very nice and friendly to me. We usually hang out in the weekend to go to the mall or coffee shop. I am so happy to spend time with them during my secondary school years. It was unforgettable and wonderful time in my life.
About my personalities, I am a kind of active and sociable. I love making friends and spending time with people. In my free time, I love reading books and listening to my favorite songs in a quiet place as well as going picnic. I play sports such as basketball or swimming. They effectively help me keep fit and strong than my health. At home, I usually spend time helping my mom with housework and sinner. So, I acquired a lot of cooking skills from her. I am proud to say that I cook quite well.
The reason that I want to study abroad is because I want to learn more about American culture, improve my knowledge and skills in English as well as make friends with people. I hope I will have more friends in others countries so that I can learn about their traditions and share my country’s traditions with them. My plan is study as hard as I can to obtain knowledge and experiences, then I will find a good job to support my family. Therefore, I will try my best when arriving America. I promise I will definitely behave well and will not do anything to make you guys upset. Maybe I can even help you cook some Vietnamese dishes in the future.
