Dear Host Family: First, I want to talk about my family. When I spend time with my family, I sometimes go to restaurants to eat together, sometimes I drive around during holidays, and I may travel abroad during winter and summer vacations. My mother is a chemistry teacher and can teach me my homework; my younger brother is about to graduate from elementary school and enter junior high school. I have a reserved personality and might come across as quiet and shy when we first meet. My facial expressions may seem consistent and composed, but beneath the surface, I am warm and vibrant. Over time, you’ll discover that I can be lively and quite noisy. One of my strengths is being cautious and detail-oriented, but on the flip side, I can be timid, passive, and a bit meticulous. Despite my quiet demeanor, I have thoughts brewing in my mind; I just find it challenging to express them. I find joy in listening to music and creating collages or editing videos to document life. In terms of sports, I enjoy playing badminton, basketball, and table tennis, even though I might not excel at them, especially basketball due to my short stature and limited strength. Among holidays, Christmas is my favorite for its beautiful trees and festive decorations that create a joyful atmosphere. When it comes to food, I have a liking for pizza, baked dishes, and french fries. In this experience, I hope to broaden my horizons, embrace different cultures and educational styles, enhance my English proficiency, make new friends, and cultivate a spirit of daring exploration. My goal is to become more independent, bold, self-disciplined, and adept at problem-solving. |
