Dear future host family,

First of all, I want to thank you for reading my letter. My name is Sissi and I am currently 15 years old. I would like to go to the United States for 10 months to experience the American High school and in general the United States. During my stay in the United States of America I want to make new experiences. I would like to know more about living in the United States. I want to make new friends and enjoy the time with them and my host family. I love travelling very much and to see new places and make memories. Beside these things, I want to improve my English. I think that living in the United States will be an awesome experience for me and that it will have a big influence on my life and personality. As well I hope that after the time in your family, America will be a second home for me.

I live together with my father, my mother, my brother and my French bulldog named Miyagi. I have a good relationship with my family and they are an important part of my life. I love them and they always support me and my projects like the exchange year. I am very grateful for that. Family is the most important thing in my life.

I love going to school and after the summer holidays I will attend 10th grade in German High School. My favorite subjects are History, Politics, Sports, Art, French and of course English. I think our school system is quite different from yours and I am very curious to see how the American school system is working. The United States always fascinated me, because it is so different and not like in Germany.

I would describe myself as an open, self confident, interested person who goes along with everybody, reliable, helpful and a nice person
I do singing, golfing, Volleyball, dancing, kickboxing, playing electro bass and double bass. I also love to visit the church and reading the bible. At school I sing in a Big Band and I also play electric bass there. There are mint classes and music classes and I am in a music class where I play double bass in a class orchestra. At school I play volleyball with my friends. During my exchange year, I would love to learn new things and I am open to new things.

In my free time, I often visit my friends or do things with my family or my dog. We go shopping, play volleyball, eat or just hangout and laugh. I love reading romances. I like love stories, action, comedy, but a little bit of horror is also not bad. It would be great if I could try something new while I am in the U.S. for example to join a club. Next to these things I like to bake, for example, I often bake Brownies with my own recipe. If you would like me to bake the brownies for you, I would be happy to do so!!
