Hello! My name is Soiru, and I am 16 years old. I live in Japan with my family, which includes my parents, an older sister, and an older brother. I have a strong passion for sports, especially American football and soccer. I played soccer for nine years, from elementary through junior high school, where I developed leadership skills and often guided my teammates. Now in high school, I am part of the American football club, excited to take on new challenges. Soccer and American football are both team sports, so we focus on teamwork and unity as we get ready for the tournament. I would love to learn everything about American football. This sport is more than just a game to me; it’s all about teamwork and challenges. I’m really excited to have the chance to grow, experience American culture, and learn how to play the game. I want to make my dreams come true by getting better on the field and working with my teammates to win.
During my time studying abroad, I am excited to spend time with my host family and experience life together. One of the things I’d love to do is cook local dishes together and try recipes I’ve never made before. I would also like to introduce Japanese cuisine to my host family and show them how to make it. I would also love to go sightseeing and go out with my host family. If there are any recommended spots or local hidden gems, I would love to hear about them, take lots of photos, and share them to my friends when I return to Japan.
I am also excited about the chance to learn about American culture and language naturally through everyday activities, like watching movies together, going for walks, or simply spending time as a family. At home in Japan, my family and I enjoy going out for day trips and shopping when the weather is nice. On rainy days, we like to stay in and watch movies or play board games together. At school, I actively ask questions when I don’t understand something and enjoy speaking up in class. My favorite subject is physical education because I love sports. I am truly grateful to my host family for welcoming me into their home and giving me this wonderful opportunity. I hope to build a friendship with you and create wonderful memories together during my time abroad. I am looking forward to the exciting experiences ahead.
