Dear family,

Hello! My name is Valentina. I am 15 years old. I was born on an island of Spain. My mother is from Brazil and my father from Spain. I love the island where I live. It is beautiful, safe, I have my home, my friends, my cat and my school.

The chance to stay with a family in america that I can be part of for a whole year is really something so very special, I consider myself blessed to have this opportunity, that I should have the chance to get to know and be part of a new family and perhaps bring them some of my culture for them to seem is very exciting. Thank you very much for hosting me and I hope to learn from our culture as you can learn from mine, it is an honor to go to the United States and thank you for making it easier for me.

I can make a really good Spanish Tortilla, my dad says it is the best!! I love Asian food or Italian food. Me and my family make a lot when we are together, specially on Christmas (my favorite holiday) we always get together, prepare different dishes.

I love spending time with my family. My favorite pastime with my family is doing the things we like but together. At Christmas, my parents and I usually go to visit our family and visit new places, we love to see the Christmas lights

I love dancing, swimming and skiing when it’s winter. I consider myself active but also like being quiet and listening to music. My favorite music is from the 80s and 90s, especially the groups from USA but I like Spanish music too. I love going camping with my father and painting or doing new things. I also like to think or watch movies in my free time.
