Dear future family:
My name is Valeria. I am a spanish girl who lives in Seville, a wonderful and happy city, with sunny weather most days of the year, full of historical monuments and a lot of people walking through the streets and having “tapas” in the food bars. I live in a duplex with a big terrace and great views of the city, near schools, cinemas, restaurants, etc. My parents are divorced, so I live with my mother and my brother Carlos. He is older than me. I also live with my father some weekends, weekdays and half holidays. I really like doing activities with my family. When we have time, we normally go to shopping centers, Starbucks, to a restaurant, to see a movie…We also play board games, watch Netflix together, cook together…
I consider myself a very extrovert, adaptable, honest and kind person. I get along with people easily because I am really respectful with them and I like talking to them. In addition, I am hardworking with studies because in the future I would like to be a surgeon.
I usually go to school in the morning. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I go to an English academy in the evening. On Wednesdays I go horse riding. It is my favourite sport. I’ve been riding horses for 5 years now and I am pretty good at it, although it is not the only sport I am good at, because I am very athletic. It would be fantastic if in the new school I could do sports and make friends. Almost every Friday I go out with my friends around our neighborhood. Sometimes, we go to the cinema and after that, we go to have dinner.
Also, every Halloween, we have a sleepover at my best friends’ house. My favourite music is pop in English. I listen to music for everything: doing homework, having a shower, cleaning my bedroom…Obviously not always but occasionally. I really like Christmas and I always put up the tree with my mother. We decorate the whole house. We make delicious food, such as fish or meat and seafood. I like almost all type of food. On summer holidays, my mother and I travel somewhere in Europe for a week to get to know their culture and their gastronomy. The rest of the summer, we go to my grandparent’s villages. I especially like one for its crystal clear water and its fauna and flora. On the other hand, I like the other for its food and its people. In fact, I can only see one of my best friends there (she comes from Andorra, a country near Spain).
I have been waiting for a long time for my parents to let me travel abroad to study, so I can improve my English level, and at the same time to live with people with different culture than mine and learn from them, know their habits and spend Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween…with them.
Well, I could keep telling things about me but I think this summary is enough so that you know the most important things about me. I hope to be able to share good times with a good family. I am already wishing.
Thank you for your generosity hosting me.
