Hello, I’m Ryuu. I will introduce myself and things related to me. First, I have 5 people in my family, and we live together with my family. My family has me, my sister, my mother, my father, and my grandmother.
I am not a picky eater in Thailand. I can eat a lot of food in Thailand but I’m not sure if I would be able to eat a lot of things in America. I can eat lots of vegetables too, but some vegetables are too bitter, and I can’t eat much, but I always try to eat it because it’s good for health. I can cook simple things like fried egg, omelet or something more like that. I do also cook with my family when my family and I have time together.
About living, I normally stay in the dormitory when school opens and come back home on the weekend and back to the dormitory on Sunday night, and when school closes I stay at home with my family and I also stay at my grandmother house on Saturday and on weekdays I have to go to help my father and my mother at their workplace, and when Sunday my family often go to the mall or some restaurant or some short trip on Sunday, so I don’t have a lot of free time in house.
About school, I’m not sure about my favorite subject but my best score on the subject is history for this year. I think it’s a very easy subject for me. I don’t really have any favorite subjects, but I don’t like Math. In my academic track I chose track science engineering in my school. It is a bit hard, But I always try to do it or attend to the teacher and try my best to understand every subject.
In my free time, I like to play basketball, soccer or games with my friends and watch movies or talk with my friends. I often play basketball after school, and sometimes soccer. Basketball is my favorite sport, and I want to be a basketball player, but I am short. My position in basketball normally is shooting guard and I would like to try to play basketball in the US if I have the opportunity. I also look forward to trying out for the basketball team in school there and play some matches there if I can. Furthermore I’ve been passionate about basketball since I was about 9 years old I think, but my school now in Thailand doesn’t have a basketball team, but it has a soccer team and I also used to be in their soccer academy, but I left because I have to paid to academy much more than before and they change all the coach that are good .
This exchange program means a lot to me because it’s not just about learning in a different classroom, it’s about experiencing a whole new culture, meeting new people, and growing as a person. One of the main reasons I wanted to join this exchange program is to improve my English and learn more about American culture, and I understand that moving to a new place, far from family and friends, comes with its challenges. But I believe that every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and I’m ready to face them with an open heart and mind. I’m determined to adapt, connect, and make the most of every moment in this incredible journey.
I hope when I go to America I will learn something new and have some great experiences. I am also happy to share my culture with my host family and friends. I’m excited about all the new things that will happen. Thank you.
